Yesterday

YESTERDAY

Slowly close your eyes
feel the kiss of a rose on your cheek
melt into my being like ice cream
on a sunny day say that you will be with me all the way
for in you I have found a friend
a lover and soulmate to the end
through time and space we may drift apart
will always be joined by an invisible string
attached to our hearts

two souls born in seperate stages
created in poetry on different pages
brought together in mysterious ways
friends we will for always stay
can remenber the wonderful moment
you walked my way
so real, it almost feels like yesterday
