    woorde draai en dwarrel
    in ou onthou,
    grys skaduwees demper die amper
    opgewondenheid van nou
    wanneer die son lek lek
    aan ’n horison
    vêr buite my droom bereik;

    jou stem dra
    vier seisoen-beloftes
    waar ’n somers wind
    klingel-speel
    teen spantoue
    van kaal gestroopte maste;

    dis weer net ek,
    voete wat wil-wil wortel skiet,
    ’n swerwers hart
    wat in ’n Melkweg-hemel
    kaartsoek na jou!
